Rove Charging

In March 2021, Agate Power joined forces with Newlight, a private investment firm, to make an initial investment in Rove, the developer of full service electric vehicle charging centers in Southern California. Each Rove center will pair 40 ultrafast Level 3 chargers with a lounge and a curated market. Rove currently has six sites under development with the goal of opening 20 locations by 2026.  www.rovecharging.com

Tiger Infrastructure

On December 28, 2017, Agate Power in partnership with Tiger Infrastructure, closed the acquisition of DANSKAMMER Energy, LLC, owner of a 500 MW gas fired power plant located in Newburgh, New York. Agate is now engaged in New York State’s Article X regulatory process to retire existing equipment and install state-of-the-art technology that will reduce the facility’s environmental footprint.

On October 23, 2020 Agate Power formed a partnership with Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. to develop, own and operate green hydrogen production, storage and delivery infrastructure and hydrogen utilization projects at Danskammer and other locations in New York, New England and other regions.

PPC is one of North America’s largest designers, manufacturers, and installers of electrostatic precipitators for industrial applications. Established in 1967, PPC has completed over 500 air pollution and particulate control projects. Its air pollution control systems help customers meet EPA and MACT compliance requirements.

NTE Energy

NTE Ohio

The Middletown Energy Center, located in Butler County, Ohio, is a state-of-the-art 475 MW natural gas-fired electric generating facility developed by NTE Energy. Middletown began operations in January 2018 and sells capacity into the PJM wholesale electricity market. The facility is one of the most efficient and cleanest sources of capacity and energy in PJM, employing Mitsubishi’s GAC turbine technology in a combined-cycle configuration.

NTE North Carolina

The Kings Mountain Energy Center is a state-of-the-art 475 MW natural gas-fired electric generating facility that began operations in August 2018. Kings Mountain sells capacity to nine municipal and state owned utilities in North Carolina and South Carolina, under long term power sale agreements. Kings Mountain employs Mitsubishi’s GAC turbine technology in a combined-cycle configuration.
